The Chapman Historical Museum is continuing their annual series of walking tours this summer with three tours featuring women’s stories and places of interest. While not strictly a women’s history tour, the museum will be featuring some local women during this Suffrage Centennial Year in New York State. Learn about local suffragists, businesswomen and various types of workers, and about how life was different for women in the late 19th and early 20th centuries here in Glens Falls. Participants will meet an historical character along the route.

The date of the first tour is Friday, July 7th at 6:00 pm. Cost of the tour is $15 per person. Space is limited so reservations are required by Thursday, July 6th. You can call the museum at 793-2826 or email to reserve your spot.

Other tours will be Thursday, August 10th at 6pm and Sunday, September 25th at 2 pm.

The Chapman Museum is located at 348 Glen Street, across from the Travelers Insurance Building, and there is parking behind the museum off of Bacon Street.
