The theme of this poster was repeated often in home front posters -- how important it was to get essential supplies to those who needed it most in timely fashion. This did not happen immediately; it took months to retool industries and to set up supply lines to meet the need. Success required focused effort not only from governmental and military leaders, but also from everyday Americans.
