Get your ticket to ride along the Feeder Canal! The Erie Canalway National Heritage Cooridor offers bus transportation and program funding to support the participation of Fourth Grade classrooms across New York State in canal history. For this program, students will:
Explore historic coal silos along the Feeder Canal
Travel a canal towpath
Visit the flight of 5 combination locks
Study the canal water
Examine historic photographs and artifacts
Schools within New York State are eligible to participate once per school year. Schools must schedule an entire fourth grade level in a single reservation. Funding is available on a first-come, first serve basis until funds are exhausted. Schools must first confirm dates with the Chapman Museum and Feeder Canal Alliance before registering.
