2023 Chapman Museum Cemetery Tour

Where: Pine View Cemetery, 21 Quaker Road, Queensbury, NY 12804

When: Saturday, September 30th – tours will depart at 10am, 10:30am, 11am (cart tour, limit of 12), 11:30am, 12pm, 12:30pm (cart tour, limit of 12), and 1pm.

How Much: $20 per person or $15 for Chapman Members, payment required at time of registration

Parking: Tour participants can park behind the office building at Pine View Cemetery. After turning into the cemetery, turn left and you will see the office.

Check In: Tour participants can check in ahead of their tour at the tent near the Cemetery Office. Receipts for tickets will be available there.

The Cemetery Tour is back! Join us to hear more about significant local figures and their ties to history from actors who will bring their stories back to life.

Family Craft Program 

DIY Spooky Flying Bats

4pm at the Chapman, free

Participants can make their own bats and using some simple mechanics, they will be able to flap their wings! Participants will also learn about the origins of Halloween and why we celebrate at the end of October.

From Native Americans viewing European colonists as witches in the Mohawk Valley to witchcraft hysteria among early Long Island colonial settlements, the history of New York state’s witchcraft accusations encompasses all regions and communities in the state.

Join author Scott R. Ferrara as he presents harrowing narratives of those who were accused of witchcraft, the feverish community dramas that resulted and the lives of those who faced their community as an outsider.
