Over the past 250 years, millions have arrived on its shores in pursuit of opportunity and the promise of the American Dream. In bringing their languages, customs, traditions, and cuisines, they have woven together a rich and distinctly American culture. The same story unfolds in the Glens Falls–Queensbury region, where immigration has played a vital role in shaping the community’s growth, identity, and heritage. This exhibit explores the profound impact of immigration on both our region and the nation, while celebrating the resilience, determination, and enduring spirit of those who journeyed to a new world in search of a better life.
